Put your years of experience into a future of excellence…the qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPD supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. This position requires a highly motivated, self-reliant team player.

Northrop Grumman is seeking motivated professionals to join our PSPD team as a Database Developer. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Global Solutions Division in the Civil Solutions Business Unit. This position is located in Lorton, Springfield, and Falls Church, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will work as part of an agile team and must be a quick learner with strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and soft skills.

Assignments may include data analysis, data mapping, performance tuning and documentation

All work will be performed onsite at CBP offices in Northern Virginia. Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.


Basic Qualifications:

3+ years related experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Math, Engineering orrelated degree.

3+ years of Oracle Database Design and SQL experience

Experience with Developing SQL scripts to perform data analysis and validation

Experience with Data Migration

Design logical and physical data models

Collaborate with ETL developers and DBAs to implement database scripts to meet project goals

Experience working in an Agile Environment

US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with CBP

Experience with Atlassian toolsets, including JIRA and Confluence

Experience working in large Data Warehouse
