Dealer Sales Operations Analyst

The Position:
Reporting to the Director of Dealer Sales and Services Operations, the Dealer Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting and empowering the Dealer Sales team in all facets of the sales process. This position will ensure that the sales systems, data, and reports are processed, analyzed, and distributed in an accurate and efficient manner. This position collaborates with various ADESA and KAR entities to meet the reporting and operational business needs. Works directly with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

– Designs, develops, validates, and delivers comprehensive data analytics and reporting
– Uses best practices to analyze trends, market opportunity, and customer segmentation

– Creates analytical studies encompassing benchmarking, performance, forecasting, and market intelligence

– Implements predictive modeling leveraging what if scenarios to forecast results

– Identifies, joins, and normalizes data from various reliable sources to complete reporting requests

– Initiates data audits, identifies and resolves data issues to maintain the quality of sales data

– Advises management of workflow and data integrity problems and offer recommendations for resolution

– Tracks and calculates rebates and promotional discounts

– Creates visualizations within Tableau and other technologies to illustrate datas significance

– Identifies opportunities to leverage new or existing technologies

– Works closely with all Dealer Sales and Services team members to understand sales programs
– Assists with the support and implementation of new initiatives

– Creates complex Salesforce Dashboards, reports, and workflows

– Compiles presentation materials for internal and external customers

– Participates in multiple projects and initiatives and other duties assigned

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

– Bachelors Degree in analytics, information technology, or related field preferred with five (5) to seven (7) years experience required

– A high level of comfort with technology and ability to quickly adapt to changing technology

– Experience in data visualizations and building scalable reporting (preferable Tableau)

– Proficient in MS Office, intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel

– Extensive CRM knowledge (preferably Salesforce)

– Strong written and verbal communication

– Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple concurrent projects, and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

– Strong organization and project management experience required

– Must exhibit strong team player attributes

– Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid drivers license

– Ability to travel up to 25%
