Job Summary
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in Desktop Support for a hybrid remote work model. The ideal candidate will provide technical support troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operation of desktop systems. This role is crucial in maintaining productivity and efficiency within the company.
Responsibilities
· Provide technical support for desktop systems to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
· Install configure and maintain desktop software and hardware components.
· Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
· Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
· Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
· Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
· Conduct regular system updates and backups to ensure data integrity.
· Provide training and support to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
· Participate in the evaluation and selection of new desktop hardware and software.
· Ensure all desktop systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
· Maintain an inventory of all desktop hardware and software assets.
· Work closely with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and procure new equipment.
Qualifications
· Possess a strong understanding of desktop support and troubleshooting techniques.
· Have experience with installing and configuring desktop software and hardware.
· Demonstrate knowledge of system performance monitoring and security compliance.
· Show proficiency in documenting technical issues and solutions.
· Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively with IT team members.
· Have experience in providing training and support to end-users.
· Display familiarity with IT policies and procedures development.
· Understand the importance of regular system updates and backups.
· Have experience in evaluating and selecting desktop hardware and software.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest patches and updates.
· Demonstrate the ability to manage an inventory of desktop assets.
· Show experience in working with vendors and suppliers.
· Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Certifications Required
· CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[37,800 – 50,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
