Tesla is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team. This position within the IT Operations team will be on the front lines of Tesla’s IT support. IT Desktop Technicians will be the face of IT for internal customers. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations for Tesla’s global IT infrastructure to provide for the growth of Tesla’s initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology and customer service in a fast paced corporate environment and be able to learn quickly.


Provide remote and onsite support for broader Tesla organization
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of computer and mobile device hardware & software issues, telephony, printers and networking
Expert knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Project, Windows, Mac OS, Visio)
Knowledge of remote imaging tools (SCCM & Casper)
Experienced in wireless, LAN, VPN, DSL
Daily interaction and support of all roles and levels
Working knowledge in Microsoft, ITIL Foundation, OSX (certificate not required)
Responsible for maintaining updated knowledge of procedures, products and activities with a regimented approach
Willing and able to work overtime, weekend and after hours along with an on call rotation

Minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge of remote & in-person Desktop support
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Effectively build and manage cross-functional relationships
Strong attention to details with excellent follow up
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelinesstandards
Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes
