As an Embedded Software Engineer Manager, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for developing high-quality embedded systems, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Wilmington

Pay Range: $120,000 – $135,000

What’s the Job?

• Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of embedded software and firmware solutions.
• Guide and review software development in C, C++, Embedded C, and other relevant programming languages.
• Coordinate engineering support for system testing, deployment, maintenance, and software updates.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Manage, mentor, and develop embedded software engineers, including task assignment and performance feedback.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Typically 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in embedded software development.
• 1–3 years of supervisory or technical leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, firmware development, and software lifecycle management.
• Extensive knowledge of departmental processes, engineering workflows, and industry best practices.
