An insurance client of Insight Global is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join their team. The candidate will be providing support and working on P&C systems and applications, specifically focusing on their new expert quote system for all groups within the Property and Casual (P&C) Insurance business. This is an in-house system, custom built from scratch that has various functionalities for their agents to support their customer base (e. g. digitizing legal documents, online applications, or quote illustrations). This quote system they will be supporting is Java based with thin UI (JavaScript, Typescript, Angular) using modern frameworks, while the admin system interprets the APIs, so the tasks will be more UI focused. Most of the work will be project based/task-oriented as they are in a hybrid Agile environment (monthly sprint planning) and this team is involved in 3 major digitization efforts pipelined this year for the business. This person will be expected to attend project meetings and provide status updates, new development and maintenance and production support, with very minimal on call support rotating once a month. This role is expected on-site 50% of the month at the following locations: League City TX, Galveston TX, Albany NY, or Springfield MO.

Experience with J2EE development

Experience with HTML and CSS3

Experience with Javascript build tools

Bachelors' degree in MIS, CIS or Computer Science
5-7 years of experience in web-based software development

Experience developing single-page applications with Angular

2+ years of experience developing UI components in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular

Strong written, verbal, customer service and analytical skills

Must be able to work occasional night and weekend hours when required for on-call rotation (once a month)
