Position Description Overview Security Engineer is responsible for protection of confidentiality of client information and maintenance of compliance with corporate standards and procedures. He/she is responsible for development and design of Network Security and Protection services and solutions in line with defined strategy and their deployment into operations. Designs, installs, configures, maintains and troubleshoots network protection security solutions (Security Analytics Tools, Advanced Threat Protection Systems, Deception-Based Threat Detection, Firewalls, Proxies, VPNs). Provides technical consulting on the use and integration of security solutions into the operating environment. Security Engineer is responsible for definition, documentation and enforcement of network security services/processes and coordinates with other team members security solutions lifecycle tasks, evaluates effectiveness of the service and implements improvements as needed. Also, is responsible for day to day tasks necessary to support defined processes (event management, incident management, change management, configuration management, etc.). Performs additional job duties related to security controls and processes as required. Leads complex projects and works independently supporting the Sr. Management. Job Responsibilities Responsible for Network Security and Protection services and solutions, including engineering, deployment and operations of related processes and technologies. Candidate must have knowledge and experience required to keep end-to-end responsibility for management of security services, including cooperation and coordination of work tasks across the global team. He/she must poses strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects. Must have ability to lead large strategic projects as the subject matter expert and to coordinate with functional and business units to execute project tasks. * Enterprise design and build of network security technologies in a large financial ecommerce environment. * Manage problems, maintain vendor relationships, and assist operation with vendor escalation and issue resolution. * Determine update strategy of network security devices with a focus on capacity, manageability, and security of new and existing security infrastructure. * Design and deploy network security and forensics solutions and capabilities. * Maintain the current network security and forensics infrastructure to ensure absolute availability of critical security alerting, investigation and response infrastructure. * Enhance network security analytic alerting and informing capabilities by taking input from other critical security teams and designing the alerts and reports to be delivered. * Investigate network information to help determine improved alerting and informing capabilities without drive from other security teams. Job Requirements * 6 – 10 years of experience with job responsibilities in Network Security and Cyber Analytics area in large corporate environment. * Solid knowledge of Checkpoint FWs and IPS, Juniper FWs, Bluecoat Proxies & Advanced Threat Protection, Symantec Security Analytics (BlueCoat), Deception-Based Threat Detection with knowledge of the designing, deploying, and supporting. * Ability to work independently on complex goals in a global team environment with minimum supervision * Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction * Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment * Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments * Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection * Solid experience with major Operating Systems (Windows, LINUX, AIX..) including administration and security * A good understanding of Network Security controls such as IPS, DLP, WAF, and SSL VPN. * An understanding of Cisco network hardware, configurations and troubleshooting * Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, vulnerabilities, and attacks within a TCP/IP environment * Understanding of network protocol analysis and raw data captures * A good understanding of dynamic and static routing protocols * Good overview with other IT security domains and security controls * Excellent verbal, written skills in English language 6 years of related IT experience. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with Certifications.
