Guidewire Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Business Analyst- Policy Center, in Property & Casualty Insurance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Guidewire Policy Center and a solid grasp of the insurance domain.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan inception/requirements workshop schedule, prioritize requirements for sprints, demonstrate Guidewire Policy Center product demo, identify gaps and provide Guidewire Policy Center solutions.
  • Conduct Requirements workshops by directly working with business SME’s in capturing requirements.
  • Build user stories, use cases, functional requirements, wireframes, system flow diagrams, and other documentation for Guidewire configurations and Integrations requirements.
  • Review and analyze how changes to the business process and / or business needs will impact technical requirements throughout the GW applications and other down stream integrations.
  • Clarify requirements prior to delivery of user stories to the Development team.
  • Be the liaison between functional leads, development teams and support teams.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sessions during UAT phase.
  • Support production releases Perform smoke testing.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure test cases are current, accurate, and cover alternative paths for existing and new system functionality.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):

  • Experienced knowledge on Guidewire Suite of application especially Policy Center and coordinated applications with Policy Center.
  • Knowledge on functions of the Insurance business to understand customer requirements and provide GW Solutions. Must have Insurance Domain certifications.
  • Experience in core billing functions such as Invoicing, payments, disbursements, delinquencies etc.
  • Knowledge on Financial Transactions, General Ledger etc. is must.
  • Knowledgeable on integrations with internal and external applications; research any dependencies and work on system design plan with solution architect and developers.

What will help you stand out (preferred skills):

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of agile methodologies.
  • Skilled at writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and wireframes.
  • Proven background using defect-ticketing software (such as Rally, JIRA, etc.) to document requirements, user stories, defects for development teams.
  • Experience working daily in multi-functional teams.
  • ACE Certification in Policy Center is desired.
  • Skilled at negotiating consensus among departments that request sometimes conflicting or inconsistent software requirements.
