BAE Systems is building a team of Hardware Engineers with expertise in providing oversight to the overall success of the program s hardware component needs, assembly and sub-assembly designs and development activities to ensure a traceable mapping back to specific hardware requirement specifications. Our team of engineers will lead a wide variety of hardware engineering related tasks and activities as part of contributing to the overall success of the program. The team provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. These teams will prepare comprehensive written reports and presentations based on research, collection, and analysis of information assurance data.
These teams of Hardware Engineers will also be responsible for the following duties:
Ensure that all equipment installations/customizations of racks, devices, assemblies and sub-assemblies match the related engineering drawing sets.
Participate as needed in all phases of research and development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
Define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with DOD customer specifications.
Ensure all systems and sub-systems provide the specific system functionality/behavior as specified in the system-level requirements.
Participate and provide expertise in Technical Reviews/Interchanges.
Work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment while assuring key milestone objectives are satisfied with a focus within cost budget constraints
Support daily lab operations and regularly coordinating with security for government furnished property management.
Assist System Administration team with integration of servers, and networking equipment
Will serve as the Customer point of contact and provide technical presentations as needed
Be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude
Able to handle multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity
Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative; self-starter
Other duties as assigned
Candidates filling these positions should have experience in one or more of the following Air Force Weapon Systems: Air Operations Center (AOC), Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Cyber Command and Control Mission System (C3MS), and Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence System (DODIIS).

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor s degree in science and technology related disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering. Eight years of related experience in leadership or related technical expertise.
Linux (RedHat/CentOS preferred), Windows server, AWS, and VMWare-based virtual platforms
Experience with server and storage architecture (HP, Dell, EMC).
DoD 8570 compliant with a minimum of CompTIA Security certification
Active TS SCI clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
Senior-level (hands-on) experience with a variety of platform technologies and solution architectures, as well as full lifecycle deployment models (requirements development through operations)
Expert knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and hardware design concepts
Ability to break down technical concepts into business terms
Knowledge and execution of review with change management
Expert knowledge of system installation, testing, and validation
Experience with Agile Development methodologies
SAFe Agilist certification
