Job Responsibilities/Duties

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for creating the bridge between the Industrial Hygiene (IH) Department and Business and Information Technology group. Responsible for supporting the information systems and services that are critical to the Industrial Hygiene program management. Assists the IH line organizations with their initiatives by clarifying initial business requirements, providing consultation for alternative solutions, coordinating inter-team activities, participating in issues resolution determination, and facilitating meetings and collaboration between the Industrial Hygiene and Information Technology (IT).

Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements as they pertain to changes in business requirements, processes and information systems.
Cultivate business relationships as it pertains to improving and/or advancing business and operations processes through the delivery of information technology and services throughout the organization.
Understand the business strategy and work with IT strategic planning and architecture groups to identify technologies that will improve and enhance business goals.
Conducts technical implementation, configuration, monitoring, audit, administration and support.
Pursues continuous improvement of information services, systems, and support that are provided to project operations and business groups.
Under minimal supervision and direction of the Business Relationship Management (BRM) Lead, support and improve the BRM program within WRPS.
Identify and capture the needs of existing and potential IT opportunities.
Responsible for understanding and documenting Industrial Hygiene fundamental business and operations processes, and the IT systems & services that support them.
Maintain and ensure proper maintenance of IHT equipment and materials.
May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problem and issues. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Minimum of two years experience required.

Desired Qualifications

2-4 years of enterprise level IT related experience in performing activities typical to BRM or a related Project Portfolio Management/Enterprise Relationship Management area or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

2-4 years Industrial Hygiene equipment experience.

2-4 years training experience

Able to develop programming using Microsoft Visual Studio to provide real-time reporting for business needs

SQL knowledge to create queries and reports

Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Report Builder

Must have exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
