Information Security Engineer (AI & Audit Output)
Position Description
CGI Federal seeks a highly motivated security professional that truly understands Systems security and someone that can support our federal clients. The Information Security Engineer will be someone who can use appropriate tools to pull the required information out of large sets of data, someone able to talk about ways that AI/RPA can enhance and speed up the data analysis.
***Per customer requirements, candidates must be local (within 2hr drive radius) of Woodlawn, MD***
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support security assessments Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) or Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities and audits
• Prepare, validate, and maintain security documentation including, but not limited to: System Security Plan (SSP), Contingency Plan (CP), Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), System Categorization
• Work with FISMA reporting tool
• Support security assessments and audits
• Identify and mitigate security risks
• Manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) through remediation as well as develop Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
• Work in a team setting to provide recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in related domains
• Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment
• Have strong analysis, oral and written communication, and change management skills
• Be able to work with all levels of CGI Federal and client project team members and establish and maintain a strong customer-focused working relationship
• Be a team player with the ability to work independently and proactively while being flexible and prioritizing competing priorities, often under time constraints
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in Federal Government information security
• Knowledge of RMF and NIST Special Publications especially 800-53 and 800-37
• Experience developing and/or maintaining security documentation including System Security Plans (SSP)
• Participating in or leading security assessments and audits
• Experience managing POA&Ms
• Understanding of security policy compliance
• In depth understanding of AI protocols and standards
• Understanding of technology risks and the ability to assess and mitigate them
• Provide Audit Outputs, which includes reports and information that are formally prepared and presented by one party to another, as well as outputs that arise from the auditing process that are generally not visible to those outside the audited organization.
• Provide the results of internal audits to management with suggestions for improvements to current processes, which may include information technology systems as well as supply-chain management.
• Understanding of key outputs of audit planning include an audit planning memorandum; audit scope statement; risk and vulnerability assessment document; and field work audit program.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 – $161,600
