The qualified candidate will for the design and implementation of computing infrastructure, including compute, network and storage components of the system. They will participate in system and component-level trade studies, and collaborate with other discipline architects as part of the overarching architecture review process. Also included as part of the role is planning for future system enhancements following program change management processes. An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with a CI poly < 5 years old is required for this position and US Citizenship. NOTE: Candidates with a current TS/SCI security clearance or higher are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon. Required Skills: • An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with a CI poly < 5 years old and US Citizenship required • Experience designing physical and virtualized computing architectures • Proficiency matching system requirements (specific user or VM requirements) to compute capabilities (RAM, single-threaded speed, total throughput) • Familiarity with COTS compute products and the ability to select compute hardware to meet requirements • Experience with architecture, design and integration of infrastructure services built using COTS and FOSS products • Ability to prepare and present status, plans, and risks to management • Experience with Unix/Linux System Administration • Working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization (VMWare) • Understanding of the importance of following Change Management processes with a focus on build automation to aid compliance • The ability to effectively plan workloads within program priorities and deadlines • Scripting skills (i.e. bash, Perl, Python) -8 years of related work experience required Desired Skills: • Background in COTS product installation and integration • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for both VM host builds and software installation/configuration • Experience with system hardening to government standards, i.e. ICD-503 • Demonstrated leadership skills • Experience in writing/reviewing Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)/Request For Change (RFC) responses including Basis of Estimates (BOE) Required Education (including Major): Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of related work experience or 16 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree 113506
