General Dynamics Information Technology is pursuing candidates for an existing Training Services program supporting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). GDIT’s training organization is an award-winning team with a national reputation for enterprise training programs. Our learning professionals are thought leaders responsible for innovative training designs and learning strategies to a variety of customers.
This position requires experience managing training projects that use the ADDIE methodology. The selected candidate will provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned training project(s) or task(s). He or she will be responsible for multiple simultaneous projects, each of which will be supported by up to ten people.
The selected candidate will:
Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.
Supervise assigned staff.
Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
May also perform high level technical services on assigned task(s).
Conduct planning and provides recommendations to the Program Manager on task workload.
Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
* Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Develop and/or update schedules in Microsoft Project
Participate in special projects as required.
Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
5-8 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
* This is primarily a remote position – home office with printer and high speed internet access required. Preference for candidates in the DC metro area due to occasional on-site client meetings.
* Occasional travel may be required, less than 20%.
