This position works a Hybrid schedule</b>; whereas, the Team Member must live within reasonable commutable distance to our corporate offices in (Grand Rapids) Walker, MI to be able to work in office M-W, and optional work remote Th-F. Relocation assistance available to align with Hybrid schedule requirements.
 

Meijer seeking an experienced leader for a cross-functional IT Service Delivery Manager (SDM) responsible for developing a high functioning team that support new technology rollouts from purchasing, installation, and GoLive. This IT Manager / SDM is responsible for planning and managing all projects and budgets to deliver business value. This is a servant leadership role for Systems Engineers/Analysts, Product Lifecycle, and Application or Hardware Support.

What You'll be Doing (Responsibilities):

  • Leads the New Unit/Rollout team responsible for delivery of new technology rollouts and bringing new units online.

  • Responsible for developing a high functioning team and coaching team members to support skills development and career growth.

  • Manage relationships with business partners and vendors to ensure execution against operational performance targets, standards, and procedures.

  • Manages the execution and delivery of projects using agile and other methodologies.

  • Assesses project viability and recommends strategies and tactics to satisfy customer needs.

  • Provides direction to project teams and integrates activities with other IT functions to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.

  • Monitors and reports to IT and user/customer management on the status of multiple, concurrent project efforts.

  • Facilitates the removal of team blockers and impediments.

  • Ensures that application systems are deployed in a way that complies with security standards and established methodologies.

  • Manage resources and provide input on resource requirements to effectively deliver on all performance targets and Service Level Agreements.

  • Provide oversight to ensure prioritization and restoration of service within functional area.

  • Knowledge and experience with SLAs, OLAs, and Contracts in insourced or outsourced environments

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and technical training is required. Master’s preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in technology systems development, implementation and installation in an online environment.

  • Experience in the retail industry or in a production/service environment is preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience of demonstrated leadership skills; possessing a track record of managing and developing technical talent, including onshore and/or offshore resources, in a cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals.

  • Experience managing budgets and understanding impact of financial decisions to P&L.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop teams.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment.

  • Leadership skills that create and foster an environment of trust and empowerment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
