As an IT Software Engineer you will help to plan, install, configure and troubleshoot modules and patches for Lawson S3 and Landmark Technology, Lawson application and components, Websphere, Java, Perl as well third-party application on AIX and Windows Servers. Your experience in writing data extracts for Querying and Reporting using SQL, Perl and UNIX/AIX shell scripting will be a vital asset to the team. You will be part of team providing on call support to ensure high availability of the Lawson ERP system. You will coordinate and act as liaison between various IT departments, vendors and other technical resources. As a Software Engineer you will have the ability to work from home.

This position requires expertise in selected business or healthcare processes and participates in formulating system scope and objectives relative to the companys requirements. Works as part of a team who provides knowledge, guidance, research and fact finding expertise to define, design, and code programs within applications and on various hardware platforms.
Creates and installs computer code following established coding standards to instruct a system to perform a required function by working close with peers and customers.
Tests application programs utilizing available productivity tools following established testing standards.
Documents programs created using established standards with programs and external documents noting relationships with other programs and applications.
Works with the customer to research and develop solutions. Designs work flows and specifications for presentation to senior members of the team and customers for feedback and approval.
Supports and practices established change control standards
Must possess a strong knowledge as typically obtained by a Bachelor’s degree related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience.
Must understand and work with at least one programming language and related hardware. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
General knowledge of healthcare industry.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
