The incumbent will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the Business Applications Branch, Business Architecture Division in Birmingham, AL, Austin, TX, or Washington, DC.

This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, configuring, implementing, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting Enterprise Document Management system.

Responsibilities

This 1 position can be filled in any of the 3 locations: Washington, DC, Austin, TX, or Birmingham, AL.

As an IT Specialist (Content Management), you will:
Conduct interviews and review business processes with the subject matter expert to fully document the current business processes, letter templates and desired output(s).
Develop functional performance specification document of the proposed workflow(s) to automate incoming correspondence.
Develop comprehensive processes to capture, index, and automate incoming correspondence into a paperless electronic workflows/case management system that will be used to track, manage and report on all documents received and processed by business areas.
Collaborate with various program areas within the Fiscal service to create document management workflows and repositories for efficiently storing, indexing and retrieving documents generated and consumed by the respective Program areas.
Provide testing after installation of new workflow applications or new software installations required for specific customer installation requirements.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-13 , you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes performing work that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing enterprise level document management systems in order to develop, customize, test, debug or maintain enterprise content management for an organization.

Examples of Specialized Experience at the GS-12 for this position could include:
Experience creating document management solutions for users in a business environment; OR
Experience developing, testing, and implementing workflows in a large-scale Enterprise Content Management (ECM) application; OR
Experience responding to routine and complex IT incidents, troubleshooting, and assisting in system outage recovery; OR
Experience collaborating with program areas to collect user stories, develop products, and implement document management workflows and repositories.

AND

In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must have IT-related proficiency in each of the four competencies listed below.

Attention to Detail, such as developing functional performance specification document of the proposed workflow(s)
Customer Service, such as responding to routine and complex IT incidents, network issues, and service requests providing appropriate and prompt solutions.
Oral Communication, such as conducting interviews and review business processes with the subject matter expert to fully document the current business processes
Problem Solving, such as collaborating with various program areas within the organization to create document management workflows and repositories

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :

A one year probationary period may be required.
Public Trust – Background Investigation will be required.
