SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of all systems. This role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing system updates, and supporting the technological needs of the organization, particularly in relation to mortgage and loan processing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System Administration: Manage and maintain servers, networks, and software applications to ensure optimal performance and security of the IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- System Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect company data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical information and ensure business continuity.
- User Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems, ensuring proper security measures are in place.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and updates, facilitating knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments to identify technological needs and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT system administration or a related role, preferably within the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with mortgage and loan processing software is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
