As a Java Architect, you will be a technical leader for Mail Order Pharmacy technology at CVS Health. You will directly impact millions of people by ensuring that processes are efficient and help CVS Health to provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients alike. By mentoring other developers on the team, you will recommend development activities, disseminate knowledge, and lead technical forums.
This position will be located in Buffalo Grove, IL or Scottsdale, AZ.
Additional responsibilities of the Java Architect include:
Leveraging design patterns to solve recurring development functions and collaborating with other architects to develop integrated systems with common principles.
Developing enterprise-wide architectural standards and improving current System Architectural Design documents.
Developing, testing, and refining development framework while identifying and researching new technology products and trends.
Maintaining system designs and awareness of enterprise technology standards.
Cultivating new coding languages, frameworks, tools, and practices while leading training sessions and writing technical user documentation to support this.
Sponsoring new development tools and IDE enhancements from concept to rollout, leading planning activities, and participating in annual road map reviews.
8+ years’ experience in IT.
4+ years’ experience leading large scale application development.
4+ years’ experience with Java (development, design, testing complex programs), Java Build (Dimensions, Maven, Hudson, Jenkins, Tomcat,) and Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, Wicket, Struts).
4+ years’ experience with IDE (Eclipse, IBM RAD) and Control (Serena Dimensions, SubVersion, PVCS)
Superb communication skills and ability interface effectively with all levels of management.
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related technical field and 4 years of experience.
Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience.
