Position Description:

CGI is looking for a self-motivated developer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client in Jersey City, NJ.

We are looking for a Hands-on Developer (7-10 years) with experience in Enterprise level application development in Java8/J2EE, Maven, Spring Core, webservices, Sprint Boot, Multithreading, Mesaging(- Apache Kafka, JMS, MQ or Solace), Oracle, Junit, Yaml, PKI Management. The system has high visibility within the organization and is used by many prominent stakeholders. This role offers flexibility of joining a team utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies on highly visible initiatives to highest level within the Organization.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java based programs

Delivering high availability and performance

Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle

Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code

Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging

Managing Java and Java EE application development

Ensuring designs comply with specifications

Preparing and producing releases of software components

Participating in scrum events

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bright requires a candidate with strong backend development/SL3 experience, below is the required tech skillset,
• Java8/J2EE
• Angular 4.x – Good to have
• Maven
• Spring core, web services, Spring boot, Schedulers, Multi-threading
• Microservices
• CI/CD – Jenkins/Teamcity, uDeploy/Servergrid
• Messaging- Apache Kafka, JMS, MQ or Solace
• Oracle
• Cloud computing – Docker, Kubernetes – Good to have
• JUnit tests, automated testing
• Knowledge of Hadoop Clusters and Servers on Cloud (HMS), services – Good to have
• SDLC Tools – JIRA, kabana boards
• Analytics, performance and Monitoring tools
• PKI Management
• Yaml

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,800 – $198,400
