Java Full Stack Developer

Position Description
CGI is seeking to hire a Java Full Stack Developer in Jersey City, NJ. You will be part of an agile team to develop and deliver a dynamic application at a large U.S. Financial institution. Excellent opportunity to work with CGI's Global Banking and Financial Services practice to help innovate and deliver market leading Wealth management solutions. You will collaborate with premier client personnel in helping them satisfy critical business objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Full stack development experience in Java.
Engagement with product analyst and solution architects to interpret functional specifications to develop innovative solutions.
Experiencing Build secure, scalable and high-performance applications.
Work in Agile environment and actively participate in sprint/project/release planning to provide development estimates for the program.
Participates in requirements collecting and design reviews, sprint readiness and retrospective reviews and other inspections.
Develop and complete unit test cases, support user documentation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
10+years of Java backend, Web development experience with focus on Angular 9 or higher.
2+years of Spring experience required; Spring Batch is a plus.
2+years of Apache Spark experience required.
2+years of Hazelcast (or any other IMDB) is huge plus.
Proficient in Oracle, PL SQL programming needed.
Behavior driven development (BDD) is a huge plus.
Must have proficiency in application frameworks and containerization.
Proven understanding of agile models of development and DevOps tools.
Must have experience implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices.
Consulting experience in customer facing engagement, strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience required. 10-14 years of experience in software development required; Start-up work experience preferred.
Proficient with Backend for Frontend (BFF) design pattern. Experience with NodeJS is a plus.
Proficient with event driven architectures and experience with KAFKA or similar event streaming products
Proficient with Reactive message driven application stacks. Experience with AKKA is helpful.
Proficient with Enterprise caching products. Experience with Hazelcast is preferred
Experience with a rule's engine like Drools is a plus.
