Java Production Support Analyst

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Java Production Support Analyst in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you will be working on a challenging application that will provide an opportunity to expand your technical and domain skills. The role offers a challenging environment with an exposure to work directly with client on various aspects of loan processing that involves interacting with multiple teams, utilizing multiple technologies and supporting an application which provides a high visibility to your contributions. The job offers opportunities to work on analyzing complex system issues, working with vendors and witnessing real processing in a banking domain. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, high competency, and ability to quickly adapt and contribute to a continually changing application.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Level 2 application support
o On-call Pager rotation
o Receiving and Acknowledging tickets
o Incident triaging and priority assessment
o Assignment of incidents
o Incident resolution
o Application monitoring and preventive maintenance
o Weekly status and SLA reporting
• Incident and problem management
o Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex production application defects
o Identify root cause and devise and implement permanent solutions to recurring defects
• Manage process improvements
• Review and take actions on operational metrics reporting
• Perform minor application upgrades / patches
• Support infrastructure maintenance / validation
• Build and maintain application monitoring, optimization and utilization
o Devise or modify programs to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Support disaster recovery testing / validation
• Support business resiliency testing / validation
• Audit support and issue remediation
• Support LOB/operations and adhoc requests
o Analyze business user needs and provide optimal technical solutions
• Support Risk management (vulnerabilities, patches)
• Monitor production jobs and environments
• Certificate Renewals

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Production Enhancements:
• Code new programs enhance existing programs and/or integrate packaged vendor solutions with existing systems.
• Documents, tests (unit and integration), implements and provides on-going support for the applications.
• Follow SDLC standards, source code management, and release management procedures.
• Fix Vulnerability Defects.

The project team needs an Onshore Java Production Support Analyst with below skillset.
• Minimum 6 years of development/support experience.
• Willing to work and coordinate with offshore team for solution delivery.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required

1. Hands on Java/JEE programming and diagnostic experience
2. Hands on and Knowledge and Hands on of Oracle and/or SQL server including the ability to write complex
SQL queries
3. Hands on and Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat and WebSphere/IIS
4. Hands on and Knowledge of monitoring tools like dyna trace
5. Hands on and Knowledge of Spring boot and AngularJS
6. Knowledge of handling dotnet based applications
7. Configuration and support of enterprise software applications
8. Hands on and Knowledge of ServiceNow tool
9. Knowledge of handling Kafka/Apigee based applications
