Junior QA Analyst

As a Junior QA Analyst, you will become part of our Canada based QEA practice, which provides a full range of QEA services to our Canadian clients across multiple industry sectors, including automation test development, agile QE, DevOps engineering, performance testing, manual testing, test design, and test consulting.

In this role, you will:

  • Become a ‘future focused’ quality assurance (QA) leader: develop a good understanding of rising trends in the QA industry (QE, DevOps, Agile QA & Digital) and apply these technologies to your client’s QA environment.
  • Work with Analysts, Developers, and PM teams to identify what needs to be tested in existing or new features of the software product.
  • Gain knowledge of the architecture – code structure, underlying database, and interactions with other software
  • Perform routine manual and possibly automated testing to ensure robust and high-quality delivery of AI functionalities.
  • Find new and innovative ways of breaking the software using automated and manual tests.
  • Learn new tools/technologies to automate tests, such as Selenium, Tosca, Cucumber Java, and Python.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback to enhance testing practices and QA processes.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to build expertise in AI technologies and testing methodologies.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):

  • 6 months to 1 year of hands-on demonstrable development experience in Automation – Java, Selenium, Cucumber and API skills – or equivalent programming languages.Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies; prior QA experience or related projects (e.g., internships, academic projects).
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and testing types, including unit, integration, load, and performance testing.
  • Self-motivated individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the passion and appetite to learn newer technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global project teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree with preferred majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems.
