Responsibilities
· Understanding various risk and regulatory and other financial (loan) products and process attributes from upstream/downstream systems.
· Understanding various risk and regulatory concepts and applying them quickly to develop solutions e.g. Risk Shifting, netting, pre-settlement, etc.
· Performing data gap analysis, systems, processes, and procedures as required for the project.
· Documenting functional, data mapping, reporting logic and other requirements.
· Communicating requirements to development and QA, performing testing, coordinating UAT testing and assisting production implementation.
· Contributing to processing re-engineering and process improvement where applicable.
· Supporting user training and documentation as needed.
· Reporting team working status and raise concerns or issues that may hinder the project progress as planned to management and PMs.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of direct experience in the financial or banking industry, with a focus on regulatory reporting.
- Proven Business Analyst experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, systems implementation, process improvement, or re-engineering projects.
- Familiarity with a range of financial products, including Loans, OTC Derivatives, and various Asset classes, is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical capabilities to research, investigate, and assess information for effective problem-solving and solution identification.
- Strong technical foundation in Data Warehousing and PL/SQL, coupled with in-depth credit risk functional knowledge.
- Robust understanding of system analysis processes and techniques, including system components, functionalities, interfaces, data flows, and critical business rules.
- Comprehensive understanding of Capital Markets and various risk types (e.g., Credit, Financial).
- Experienced in Agile methodologies, including proficiency with Jira, user story creation, and a strong grasp of the overall Agile framework.
- A highly collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at interacting with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- A critical thinker who consistently provides innovative and creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and manage multiple priorities effectively in high-visibility, client-facing, and time-sensitive environments, ensuring transparent communication with key stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication, requirements elicitation, and facilitation skills to bridge gaps between business and technical teams.
- Proficiency in documentation using MS Office tools (e.g., Visio diagrams, PowerPoint), SQL, Confluence, and SharePoint.
