MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Engineer to join our team onsite in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems

• Ability to work with Domain Name System (DNS) and

• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Windows/Linux environments and familiarity with Active Directory in Windows environments

• Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes

• Strong understanding of Linux networking, patching, and operating systems, especially Red Hat 6,7,8 and 9, as well as Linux filesystems and Logical Volume Management (LVM)

• Up to 25% travel

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience

• Experience in systems administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments

• Must have Security+ CE certification

• Must have VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Clearance Requirements:

• US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and printer

• Be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
