Leidos has an opening for an M365 Developer to support the ESA V program. ESA V is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice and the rest of the US Federal Government. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Account Management Services, Cybersecurity, Cloud technologies and other IT services.

You will be providing the systems and applications development expertise and responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Microsoft 365 solutions to enhance our customer organization's productivity and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 technologies, including Power Platform, SharePoint, and Teams. engineering for SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange in a Microsoft 365 environment as part of the Cloud Support team for a mission-critical U.S. Government program that has a rapidly growing demand for information to be securely accessible anywhere, anytime, from any device.

The individual selected for this position will be a member of the Cloud Support team and the primary work location will be Washington, DC with work performed remote on a part-time basis. This work is expected to be 20 hours per week, but project and request dependent so a candidate with flexibility to work part-time is desired. The individual will work with client stakeholders and project managers to Design and develop Microsoft 365 solutions based on business requirements including customizing and extending SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, forms, and document management systems.

The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience developing Power Platform and SharePoint solutions in the Microsoft 365 environment for government customers. The candidate must also have practical experience with regards to government security standards, data governance, and application development.

You will work closely with customers, the M365 administrators, and project managers on the following key tasks:

  • Design and develop Microsoft 365 solutions based on business requirements.

  • Customize and extend SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, forms, and document management systems.

  • Create Power Apps for custom business applications, leveraging Power Automate for workflow automation.

  • Develop and maintain connectors to integrate Power Platform solutions with other systems via API or direct database connection.

  • Enhance collaboration and communication capabilities within Microsoft Teams.

  • Implement and customize Teams applications to meet team and departmental needs.

  • Implement security best practices in Microsoft 365 solutions to ensure data protection.

  • Stay informed about compliance requirements and ensure solutions adhere to relevant standards.

  • Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 applications, addressing user issues and system errors.

  • Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve incidents and optimize system performance.

  • Work with security, infrastructure, networking, and applications engineering teams to ensure M365 solutions work in a Zero Trust environment

  • Minimize user downtime by planning for all updates and changes.  

  • Attend meetings with the customer as required.

  • Provide written instructions for both workstation and application usage

  • Provide weekly reporting of issues and projects

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours or modified schedule for project work

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience with at least 8+ years relevant experience (6+ years with a MS/MIS Degree) Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 8+ years experience providing software and application development in SharePoint, PowerApps, and M365 environments

  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to all levels of leadership

  • Ability to work with a large diverse team supporting multiple customers in a shared team environment.

  • Experience working in a zero trust environment

  • Experience with PIV and CAC authentication

  • Provide support on a flexible schedule in accordance with project or customer requirements

  • Flexible work week and part-time hours support dependent on customer requirements and projects.

  • Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interface with executive level to individual contributors.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer’s information.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with M365 SharePoint design and development

  • Expertise developing PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and PowerBI solutions

  • Expertise in developing N-tier web applications using tools such as ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, AJAX, XML, ASMX Web Services, ADO.NET, SharePoint Server, IIS 7 and above, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML

  • Agile and software development lifecycle (SDL) experience

  • Cloud development experience

  • Experience estimating levels of effort and development schedules based on customer requirements

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Customer interface experience

  • Excellent teamwork skills

Salary Range for this part-time position: $69K – $73K

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 – $183,300.00
