Position: IT Manager/Billing, Nashville, TN

We are looking for a motivated and creative IT Manager to join the Billing systems team. We are a team dedicated to providing billing solutions to the Business units. The Billing Platform Manager will help create strategy, own execution and provide ongoing support for the Billing Platform as well directly manage IT resources. This position will report directly to the Director of IT.

Responsibilities:

– Provide leadership and oversight for all Billing Platform functions (including related documentation).
– Maintain and evaluate performance metrics for systems and services, including application & database performance monitoring and usage metrics. Make recommendations for improvements.
– Provide 24X7 oversight of production support, including critical escalation, proactive communication and report job monitoring and resolving incidents and support tickets.
– Manage and ensure standards across all activities and lead team to effective and quality project deliverables within the established timeframe.
– Follow established protocols
– Implement strategies to manage and administer the configuration of the development, QA, UAT and production environments
– Lead the team to implement technology solutions and business processes that enable capabilities and reliability improvements that have been prioritized and committed to by Sr. Management, including project scoping, planning and execution.
– Collaborate with application users, assign and shift human capital resources as necessary to maintain operational excellence.
– Lead a team to deliver on short and long-term goals of the department.
– Ensure delivery of high quality service, consultation, and product to customers through understanding of business needs
– Manages the design, development, and improvement activities for the product.
– Leads and directs the work of others
– Recommend scope, strategy and architecture for implementations and enhancements.
– Develop project plans for implementations
– Manage the on-going development and support of the applications
– Serve as liaison among the business users, Help Desk function and the applications group to provide technical support for applications that support business processes.
– Ensure that the Change Management process is followed for all systems
– Ensure compliance with all corporate policies
– Maintain full and accurate documentation of all reported problems along with their resolution

Critical Skills/Must Have Skills:

– Minimum 10 years of experience related to Billing and A/R
– Minimum 5 years of experience as a direct supervisor or manager in a IT/R & D environment
– 10 years of Experience developing applications using Java and PL/SQL utilizing Oracle, 11g preferred.
– 8+ years of experience in processing large transaction volumes, CHC processes 500M transaction per month

Additional Skills & Knowledge:

– Healthcare knowledge preferred
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Problem solving skills with an ability to incorporate process improvement tools.
– Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
– Must be detail oriented
– Strong analytical, technical to include writing functional and technical specifications along with interfacing with the user/technical community.
– 2+ years of experience of AWS cloud solutions is nice to have
– Good understanding of requirements for SOX compliance
– Good understanding of processes and best practices in the Order to Cash process flow

Education: BS in CS, MIS or Engineering; Master’s preferred or equivalent work related experience
