Hiring Salary Range
$69,172 -$89,924/annually DOE

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm; some evenings and weekends may be required
Summer Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7am-6pm

Job Summary
Provide support for both internal IT and external college customers for servers and systems across the college. Administers assigned systems by providing maintenance, security, testing, upgrades, automation, and monitoring to ensure reliability and uptime of systems. Work as part of a team to develop solutions to college support and instructional areas. Continuously improve systems using the latest technologies and technology standards.

Essential Functions

30% – Systems administration. Performing ongoing support of servers and applications, including proactive patching of servers and applications, providing technical support to customers and access to servers and applications. Applications can be used for internal IT use, Departmental use, Student use, College/District wide use.
20% – Planning, coordinating, and implementing systems, integrations, and deployments of new systems. Including managing projects and developing procedures, processes, best practices and application of District policies and applicable laws.
20% – Researching, troubleshooting and resolving server and workstation software issues in conjunction with Desktop Services, Information Security, and Network Services.
10% – Assessing and mitigating server security issues. Including designing and deploying scanning processes, analyzing scan reports, remediation of found issues, and mitigating potential security vulnerabilities. Application of server updates and performing server maintenance.
10% – Designing, configuring and maintaining networks, virtualized infrastructure, storage networks and systems.
10% – Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or any bachelors degree and two full-time equivalent years of technical experience in the support of networks, systems, telecommunications and/or technology security
OR
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four full-time equivalent years of technical experience in the support of networks, systems, telecommunications and/or technology security
OR
High School Diploma/GED and six full-time equivalent years of technical experience in the support of networks, systems, telecommunications and/or technology security
