Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

A $4000 sign-on bonus amount and/or Relocation package for highly qualified candidates.

As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer for the Space Avionics & Payloads business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for Engineers designing, developing, and testing GDMS Space Systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Additional Responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for systems to ensure designs meet customer missions.

  • Expert in computer networking protocols and specifically Switch and Router Networking solutions (packet processing, MPLS, DSCP, VPN, VLAN, QoS, ToS, IPV4/6, TCP/UDP, and HAPIE NETCONF)
  • High-speed networking solutions, including YANG network data model
  • Embedded systems hardware architecture, processor architecture, and switch/router OS
  • Cryptography and security experience (i.e. CISSP or similar security certifications) a plus

Target salary range: USD $135,774.80/Yr. – USD $150,625.20/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
