MLOps Quality Assurance Lead

Position Description:

The MLOps Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies for Machine Learning and data/code pipeline integrations, focusing on machine learning operations. This requires hands-on experience in quality engineering, particularly in automating testing of AI/ML models and evaluating model/data quality. The engineer will work closely with developers to design specific testing strategies and will be involved in analyzing results and creating defects based on patterns observed in test outcomes.

This position is located in Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, or Dallas TX, however hybrid model is accepted.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Develop and execute test strategies for Machine Learning and data/code pipeline integrations.
Automate testing of AI/ML models and evaluate model/data quality and statistical properties.
Analyze results from test sets and create defects based on result patterns.
Collaborate with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them.
Scope project requirements and build test cases accordingly.
4+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
In-depth knowledge of MLOps best practices, especially around ML/model testing and deployment.
Desired candidate should have knowledge in Machine learning lifecycle including data collection, data preparation, model training, model execution and model monitoring.
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
Hands on experience in constructing simple to complex SQLs with joins, analytics functions, sub-queries.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Good exposure to agile testing process.
Should have excellent communication skill to interact with BAs and LOB.
Experience in Big Data/Hadoop testing.
Familiarity with Feature store – Hapsworks.
Relevant AWS/Cloud Computing/ML certifications.
Business context and experience within banking domain

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 78,400 – $154,300.
