Leidos Digital Modernization sector has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Senior Network Engineer. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.

Clearance: An active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required

What will you do in this role?

• Provide critical insight into the design of future AFRICOM networks.

• Provide advanced understanding of key networking technologies to include CSfC, Zero Trust Architecture, Cisco SDA and ISE deployments and configuration.

• Bring a full understanding of Enterprise networks not limited to transport, data centers, LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Load balancers and router/switch technologies.

• Support the full system development lifecycle and on-going projects.  

• Supervise and provide subject matter expert level technical expertise, training and mentoring to Network Engineering and Administrator teams.

• Develop and maintain IP address schemes for all assigned networks, and annually review and update the Master IP Routing Schema.

• Manage circuit provisioning throughout the delivery life cycle.

• Install and test circuit and base extensions and coordinate with external entities and the Government leads for end-to-end testing and activation.

• Monitor capacity and utilization and recommend solutions.,

• Provide trending and capacity planning services to analyze and plan for efficient utilization and management of the network.

These are the Required Qualifications

• You must hold an adjudicated Top Secret/SCI clearance and be able to maintain.

• To pass TESA and be able to work in Germany, you must have either: BA/BS + 8 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 10 years recent specialized or a major cert + 12 years recent specialized or 1 years of recent specialized experience.

• Must hold current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Data Center

• Must hold current CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)

• Expert level experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches in a complex enterprise environment

• Experience with Cisco software defined networking (ACI)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• CCIE Data Center

• ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation

• Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files

• Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs

• Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards

• Experience with DoD IT security requirements

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 – $157,450.00
