Network Engineer – DCGS-N Program

Location: North Charleston, SC

Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Distributed Common Ground System – Navy (DCGS-N) team. In this role, you’ll support the Joint Concentrator Architecture (JCA) and DCGS-N Enterprise Node (DEN). You’ll be part of a mission-driven team responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining advanced network systems that support U.S. Navy intelligence operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, evaluate, recommend, implement, and document JCA/DEN network architecture

  • Maintain compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines and STIG requirements

  • Ensure system readiness to meet all customer mission requirements

  • Provide expert support through Level 3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex problems

  • Perform system maintenance including patch testing, installation, and IA scans with DoD-approved tools

  • Document and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and security

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 4+ years of related experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.

  • US Citizen; Holding an Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI upon hire

  • Currently possess DoD 8140 IAT-II compliance (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)

  • Additionally, applicant must hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

  • Technical Experience with DISA Security Technical Information Guides (STIG) compliance requirements

  • Proven knowledge of Firewalls and SolarWinds monitoring tools

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

  • Comfortable working onsite in a large computer room environment

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 – $130,425.00
