Our client, a major power company is seeking a Senior Network Engineers focused on Design to join their team. As a Senior Network Engineers focused on Design, you will be part of the Engineering team.  The ideal candidate will have experience with large enterprise campus networking & voice, scaled/complex migrations. To include planning, staging, change management, implementation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance. which will align successfully in the organization.
 
Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Hybrid
Pay Range:  $50-55 per hour W2

What’s the Job?
– This position will help with building configurations, peer approval process (data entry, tech capability), configuration review, network engineering implementation plan development and review.
– Need to be able to pick up things like tweaking configurations against customer standard, escalate exceptions, etc. 
– Motivated persons with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
– Familiar with VLANs & route/switch technologies, able to modify & translate configurations based on customer standards.
– Communicate concerns/risks effectively.
– Great written and verbal communication skills
– Attention to detail, Takes Initiative
 Focus on delivery quality and execution!

 
What’s Needed?
– Experience with Cisco 29xx, 3750x, Catalyst 4500, Catalyst 9300/9400/9500 switches
– Experience with Cisco 19xx/29xx/39xx and Catalyst 82xx routers.
– Technical expertise in OSPF, BGP, Spanning-Tree, SVL, NAC/802.1x
– Technical expertise in troubleshooting.
– SDWAN knowledge desired but not required 

– Required knowledge of ISR4k, 8k router
– Ideal knowledge of Cisco Voice, voice gateway

– Change management experience/exposure.
– Familiar with change request process at large enterprises and/or financials

– Travel will be minimal. 
– Cisco Certifications preferred but not required — CCNA/CCNP
– Smartsheet’s and/or Jira preferred
Certification nice to have but not required at start of the position.  Reimbursement for cert will be provided.  — NERC- North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) – Basic
