Scope of Work
Network Engineer is responsible for diverse network platforms/topologies within a network management center or organization. The candidate provides technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of related work experience.
Plans, designs and implements networked systems and solutions between multiple platforms and protocols. Provides engineering services, and supports project management functions, required to develop and implement network plans. Projects include technology changes with existing platforms, new implementations as well as supporting guidelines and/or standards. Provide network support and problem resolution for complex issues while providing technical leadership in the management of the Data Center, Extranet and Retail environments. Perform analysis including switching, interconnection, national platforms and backbone facilities. Conduct project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons under the guidance of the supervisor or more seasoned engineer. Root cause analysis of network issues, with development and implementation of action plans to stabilize and improve network infrastructure. Provide operational support, as well as design with IP routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF and EIGRP).

Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, goal-oriented team.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of enterprise-class network architectures, industry best practices and methodologies, and change control.
Expert level knowledge in layer-2/layer-3 designs based on Cisco platforms: Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 2k, ASR 1k – routing, Fabric Path, VXLAN/EVPN mBGP, traditional Spanning Tree and various inter-connections.
Expertise in enterprise-class multi-data center infrastructures and associated security elements and methodologies (PCI, IPS, VPN, Firewalls: Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA).
Experience planning, developing, and certifying new software and hardware for networking and load-balancing solutions, and integration or migration within data center topologies including Internet & Cloud (DMZ, Public/Private).
Working knowledge of scripting/programming e.g. Python/Ansible, SDN, and other orchestration tools.
