Network Engineer

Pay Rate: Up to $48/hour (based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, high-performing network environments. This role requires hands-on expertise with enterprise networking, security, virtualization, and Microsoft cloud technologies. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can manage both day-to-day operations and longer-term network design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support routers, switches, VPNs, and load balancers
• Implement, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls and network security controls
• Monitor network traffic and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues
• Design, plan, and deploy new network solutions and infrastructure improvements
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across on-prem and cloud environments
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure network reliability and security

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with TCP/IP protocols
• Experience supporting Active Directory-based networks
• Knowledge of security hardening best practices
• Hands-on experience with VMware and virtualization technologies
• Experience with Microsoft Cloud Technologies (e.g., Azure, hybrid environments)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or similar
• Experience with load balancing solutions
• Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, VMware, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus
