Key Responsibilities:

CMMC Assessment & Consulting:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ cybersecurity practices, aligning them with the CMMC framework. Provide actionable recommendations for improving cybersecurity posture and achieving compliance with the CMMC standards. Assist in the development of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and strategies to help organizations meet CMMC requirements.

Client Support & Guidance:

Guide clients through the CMMC certification process, including pre-assessment, gap analysis, remediation, and readiness. Serve as a trusted advisor, explaining the CMMC standards, helping clients understand their security needs, and addressing any concerns throughout the certification process.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare detailed reports, documenting assessments, findings, and recommendations for clients. Ensure all CMMC-related documentation is accurately maintained and easily accessible for client reviews and audits. Work closely with internal teams to ensure CMMC compliance is aligned with client cybersecurity strategies and business objectives. Provide training and awareness sessions for clients’ staff on CMMC practices, policies, and general cybersecurity best practices. Support clients with ongoing compliance and improvements post-assessment. Track changes in CMMC regulations and offer guidance on evolving standards and controls.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Proven experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance.

Previous experience working with CMMC assessments, including performing gap analysis, remediation, and compliance strategies.

Experience working with government contracting organizations and understanding of DFARS and/or NIST SP 800-171 Frameworks

Collaboration & Training:

Work closely with internal teams to ensure CMMC compliance is aligned with client cybersecurity strategies and business objectives.

Provide training and awareness sessions for clients’ staff on CMMC practices, policies, and general cybersecurity best practices.

Ongoing Monitoring & Support:

Support clients with ongoing compliance and improvements post-assessment.
Track changes in CMMC regulations and offer guidance on evolving standards and controls

Certifications:

Current CMMC Registered Practitioner certification or better

Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of CMMC and NIST 800-171 standards.

Ability to assess, analyze, and address cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with risk management frameworks and cybersecurity tools.

Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and best practices for both IT and operational technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

CMMC-CP Certification

Experience working with government contractors, particularly in sectors requiring CMMC compliance.

Background in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response planning.

Strong understanding of data protection, privacy laws, and federal contracting regulations.
