OPWDD Quality Assurance Specialist
Description
Our client is seeking a OPWDD Quality Assurance Specialist for a non-profit organization to manage compliance, and quality improvement across our programs serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must have knowledge and understanding of OPWDD process and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all OPWDD, city, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct unannounced site visits, audits, and investigations.
- Must know OPWDD BPC process and participate in audits.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and update OPWDD’s IRMA system and internal tracking databases.
- Support quality improvement projects, staff training, and satisfaction surveys.
- Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field.
- 4+ years of experience working with individuals with ID/DD.
- Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations and audit processes REQUIRED
- Experience conducting investigations and program reviews (IRA/ICF/Day Hab).
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required; SCIP-R, CPR, and First Aid Trainer certifications preferred.
