CGI is seeking an Oracle DBA to be responsible for the 24/7 support of Oracle database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by the All Payments Solution systems. The Oracle DBA will be required to provide an extensive understanding of the architecture and Banking and Payment processes for large and complex Oracle database environments This person will provide professional and effective technical services in the support of the database system. Services will be provided in a thoughtful and careful manner with the goal of providing uninterrupted database service to the All Payments Solution application and user community within the defined system availability times.
Your future duties and responsibilities
•Part of a team providing support of a mission critical Payment Processing solution running as a service (SaaS) provided to large and small banks with a very low RTO and zero data loss RPO
•Solution is deployed over three sites – Azure and AWS Cloud using Kubernetes clusters
•Contribution to further CGI product evolution using cutting edge Oracle features and functions
•Proactively monitor, support and troubleshoot CGI All Payments application regarding its system health and operation with respect to resolving managed service requests and supporting production matters per the Managed Services Operational Framework
•Promptly and professionally answer incoming calls / emails, determine the callers needs, answer general inquiries and / or gather appropriate information to support timely resolution of the request
•Accurately document the call, and if applicable, initiate and follow the appropriate workflow when the issue is not immediately resolved and/or escalated
•Stay informed of system status and other technical dependencies that may affect the applications front-end or back-end user experience
•The person should have very good experience regards to reviewing and analyzing server/vm, middleware, application logs, managing/changing cloud architecture configuration and this work will also include working closely with the development team with regards to managing the solution and reporting problems
•The person should be familiar with supporting customer facing three tier applications and have the ability to resolve service request while working with third party technical product teams
•The individual should also be experienced using system monitoring tools such as Microsoft Operations Manager, Prometheus, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Kabana, Kubernetes, Lenz to analyze, manage, and report on system health and security center services
•Monitoring and managing the health of the database with optimization and automation in mind
•Work may require flexible work periods to address application and client needs

oApplication Continuity (Nice to Have)
•Oracle Database performance profiling and tuning (understanding execution plans, AWR/ADDM reports, hints, NMON Report)
•Management of Oracle Optimizer Statistics on large databases
•Oracle Enterprise Manager (advantage)
•Basic knowledge of Kubernetes / Docker (Nice to Have )
•Oracle Linux administration skill (Nice to Have )
•Oracle PL/SQL (Nice to Have)
Cloud Exposure – any proficiency level
Data Center / Operations – any proficiency level

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $85,000-140,000*
