Join our Team and advance your career as a Power BI Developer (fix term)
As a Power BI developer, you are a digital expert bringing deep specialist expertise to bp. This role works on the strategic technology platforms we exploit from the market or come with deep skills in the implementation and integration of market solutions into our overall technology landscape. You will bring a broad base of Digital technical knowledge and a strong understanding of software delivery principles. You will be familiar with lifecycle methods, with Agile delivery and the DevOps approach at the core. You will be skilled in the application of approaches such as Site Reliability Engineering in the delivery and operation of the technologies you deliver, working as part of multi-disciplinary squads.
In this role You will:

Collaborate with the Finance Tech Lead and Product Manager to assist in project planning, prioritization, and execution.

Maintain the reliability and compliance of Power Platform applications by adhering to architectural standards, security protocols, and policy controls.

Work with geographically distributed business units and support teams to deliver solutions efficiently, following established change management procedures for smooth and timely implementation.

Actively participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and Kanban board updates. Share ideas and collaborate within a cross-functional team environment.

Identify recurring issues across business groups and help design standardized solutions. Proactively detect risks, suggest fixes for defects, and support the timely resolution of critical production incidents.
What You will need to be successful:
-
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
-
5+ years’ experience in financial reporting solutions and ETL pipeline development.

Strong skills in Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.

Solid understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Demonstrable experience across the project lifecycle: requirements, testing, deployment, and support.

Familiarity with Change Management and Release Management in enterprise IT environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Agile mentality, adaptable to change, and delivery focused.

Team player with a customer-centric approach and ability to work across cultures.
This role may occasionally require participation in on-call duties to support critical operations outside regular working hours.
Desirable Criteria:
-
Experience in financial derivatives, ideally in energy commodity trading.

Knowledge of accounting and derivatives accounting.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and Microsoft Fabric.

Hands-on experience with Databricks or Dataiku.
-
Coding skills in Python.
