Position Description: The Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional Principal Network Engineer opportunity available on the next generation GPS ground control system. This position will perform network engineering and network security tasks related to the systems’ detailed design and implementation, as well as create engineering design artifacts for the as-designed and as-built network systems. The qualified individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and security practices. A current DoD SECRET clearance is required for this position and US Citizenship. NOTE: Candidates with a current Secret Security Clearance are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and hired by Raytheon. Required Skills: • In-depth understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, operations, and security practices/techniques • Experience working with subcontractors • Experience developing technical documents • Experience performing network design to meet requirements • Cisco ISR Router experience with GRE and IPSec tunnels using IKE • Knowledge of and ability to implement firewall ACLs • Experience with the design and implementation of PKI certificates for secure communications • Ability to design and incorporate multicast capabilities in the network • Experience with establishment of network time services using NTP • Familiarity with network topologies and device configurations to support them, particularly OSPF • Experience with Data Center LAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance and management • A current US Government Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship – 8 years of related work experience Desired Skills: • Knowledge/experience with SAN and WAN implementations • Knowledge/experience with DoD Network Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA hardening requirements and implementation • Network Certifications such as CCNP • Knowledge of ISP/ASP model and related SLAs • Experience working at DISA and DoD facilities • Configuration Management policies and tools Required Education (including Major): Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of related work experience or 16 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree 113108
