The team is responsible for the integration of the GPS mission software in a variety of environments including development labs and the operational systems. Position Responsibilities: Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include: • Perform software integration • Trouble shooting of software systems • Ability to work as an effective team member including other disciplines (systems, networking, IS, configuration management, & test engineers) to troubleshoot & fix problems • Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast paced, & sometimes pressured environment • Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy • Contribute to the completion of program & project milestones • Working in a multi discipline environment • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment/ tasking direction The candidate must be a US Citizen who has a current US Government DoD Secret Security Clearance. Note: External Candidates with a current Secret Security Clearance or higher are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and you are hired by Raytheon. Required Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills: • Minimum 8 years working experience in integration, test or development of software systems • Proven ability to lead a team of up to 25 engineers • Experience integrating large distributed systems • MUST have a current Secret clearance • Proven ability to lead the resolution of complex integration issues • Demonstrated knowledge of integrating large SOA-based systems • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with Unix/Linux or Microsoft Windows OS based development • Software & system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in system performance, network layer, communication layer, database layer, and the application layer and provide solutions • Strong oral and verbal communications skills proven ability to lead customer interactions and end-user engagements Ability to successfully lead • Provide comprehensive system/project status to leadership to include metrics • Ability to work with little to no supervision and to effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines Desired Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills: Work related experience including any of the following is a plus but is not required: • Software & system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in network layer, communication layer, database layer, application layer • Oracle DBA and/or Oracle RMAN • Netbackup • Weblogic • Tripwire • HP Openview • Load Balancers • Active Directory and/or LDAP • C++, Java and/or Python • LogRhythm • Networking (LAN and WAN) • XML • Perl • SOATest • JEE/JMS • Electronic security products (e.g. Layer 7, PKI, SSL, IPSec) • Inter-process communication technologies (HTTP, SOAP, Corba) • Satellite Ground Systems, Ground System Operations, or Satellite Operations Education Requirements: BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Math, Science or Engineering related field.
