This opportunity is Full-Time on a 1st Shift.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain company Quality Management Software in accordance with laboratory procedures by overseeing user training with laboratory management supervision for all needs of the clinical lab, troubleshooting user/system issues, communicating with vendor(s), adding or inactivating users and documents, ensuring users remain engaged with their assigned tasks, implementing system upgrades/features, and assisting with any inspections, audits, or non-conformities.
  • Assist with College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Survey Reviews and Inspections.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of various policies, procedures, and protocols that support the laboratory’s compliance with accreditation standards and quality metric benchmarks.
  • Coordinate New Hire Quality Management Training and provide training on Quality Management
  • Assist in the ongoing review and update of external informative tools, such as company website, to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the auditing of established protocols put in place to maintain or enhance quality.
  • Identify repeating error, and provide management with an actionable plan to enhance Quality Control metrics.
  • Periodically verify all Quality Management Software policies and procedures have been updated, as necessary.
  • Participate in various committees, audits, and examinations to ensure quality assurance and provide information on policies and procedures.
  • Review all documents within Quality Management Software on a periodic basis, and provide recommendations for revisions, as necessary.
  • Assist in gathering, compiling, and analyzing data for quality management meetings, including but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly service indicators.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Have a completed associate or bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university. 
  • Have two (2) years’ experience within the clinical laboratory industry.
  • Have Bilingual/Multilingual capabilities.

Travel:

  • Meet applicable company insurance guidelines and release Department of Motor Vehicles driving records if required to drive or operate a company vehicle in the performance of their duties. Must comply with company driving policies and procedures.
  • Participate in occasional travel to interact with Division personnel, attend meetings, or participate in educational training, as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Have the ability to require lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Be able to reach, stoop/bend, kneel/crouch, push/pull, and walk.
  • Engage in moderate to frequent computer work.
  • Engage in moderate to frequent use of telephone and fax.
  • Have the ability to see, hear, talk, and respond adequately.
