The Quality Assurance Technician with Ultra Maritime will be responsible for incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, and source inspection. Technicians also test and inspect parts and products at incoming and various stages of production process. May be asked to support internal auditing and reporting and creates documentation and to support as-built configurations of products. Only As needed, takes responsibility for the test and manufacturing equipment calibration program

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, Work Instructions (AOPs) or formulas
  • Confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Receiving Inspection workflow
  • Performs final inspections, in-process inspection, and source inspections
  • Prepares and retains QA submittal paper work.
  • Enters data into computer for analysis.
  • Performs production process quality audits and process audits.
  • Backup support to the calibration function when requested; such as databased, external calibration support and visits, and performs calibration on specific measurement devices that are suitable to be done in-house.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of electromechanical production or Quality Assurance experience in an ISO 9000 or AS9100 environment preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.

Desired Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of IPC 610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies and J-STD-001.
  • Knowledge of mechanical measurement techniques and tools.
  • Able to determine AQL sampling plan.
  • Comfortable using verniers, calipers, plug gages, optical comparator, height gage, Digital Multimeter.
  • Process audits experience is a plus.
  • Supplier qualification is a plus.
  • Familiar with LEAN, SPC and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • ASQ certifications experience a plus.
