Job Description:

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $61,000.00 – $80,000.00

Job Summary: As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of
unmanned aircraft systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering, supplier, and manufacturing personnel to uphold rigorous
quality control standards and processes. Your attention to detail, precision, and commitment to excellence will be essential as we
continue to advance the field of unmanned aviation.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control: 35%
• Perform quality control (QC) inspections of aerospace components and systems
• Assist with and/or review investigations into quality-related issues
• Monitor and track corrective actions to address any quality issues
• Use precision measuring tools and equipment to assess dimensions, tolerances, and material properties
• Identify defects, discrepancies, and non-conformances, document findings and work with appropriate stakeholders to
correct or mitigate recurrence.
• Physically and systematically quarantine non-conforming components and assemblies identified during inspections
• Perform First Article Inspections
• Ensure proper tagging, identification and airworthiness of production parts

2. Quality Assurance: 35%
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and documentation
• Document QC inspection results, non-conformances, and other quality-related issues; communicate and resolve these
findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative actions

• Develop and implement quality related policies, procedures, and programs
• Develop necessary inspection requirements from supplier, incoming, in process, and final inspection points as required.
• Conduct internal audits on manufacturing lines to assess adherence to established quality standards, contributing to the
enhancement of overall quality control.
• Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards during manufacturing and assembly

3. Quality Department Support/Continuous Improvement: 30%
• Engage in seamless collaboration with the manufacturing team to swiftly identify and effectively resolve issues associated
with incoming materials, ensuring production processes run smoothly.
• Work with engineers to improve component specifications and recommend actions to prevent occurrence of non-
conformances.
• Promote ongoing improvements that lead to greater customer satisfaction, cost efficiency of operations, and procedural
and regulatory compliance.

Qualified Experience and Training:
Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
• Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in Aviation or robotics industry
Experience:

• Minimum eight (8) years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a QA/QC role; preferably under an approved
quality management system such as AS9100 or ISO9001

Complexity of the Role:
Level of Decision Making:
• Quality assurance technicians must routinely evaluate the airworthiness of aircraft and/or articles, serviceability of repairs,
inspections, maintenance and safety of operation. This position requires a high-degree of independent decision-making and
integrity and may include making command decisions regarding safety of flight or operation of aircraft. Technicians also
routinely collaborate with managers, customers, suppliers, technicians, engineering and other departments for inspection
related decisions.
Organizational information:
Quality Assurance Technician's priorities will be established by the department management. This position will report to the Head of
Quality who will manage principal activity; however, this position is expected to drive action independently of direction and will pro-
actively manage and maintain quality standards. This person will have the flexibility and background to fill in for various inspection
vacancies as they occur.

• This position is directly responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and product quality, which has a direct impact on
company profitability and risk prevention.
• Has direct contact with internal customers and suppliers during shipping/receiving inspection of aircraft kits and material
• Has the responsibility for generating/documenting of Non-conforming products, articles, and material when identified
during routine inspections that supports and improves the overall quality of company products
• This position requires a professional individual who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and personable with a customer and
company advocacy mentality

• Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents,

• Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools – daily.
• Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer – several times a week.

• Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing

• Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye
protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
