What will you do? 

The Quality Systems Engineer provides technical and operational support to ensure the effective application of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System within the assigned plant. This role focuses on executing day‑to‑day QMS activities, maintaining documentation, conducting internal audits, and supporting quality initiatives under the direction of the Quality Management System Coordinator.

How will you do it? 

  • Execute and maintain QMS processes to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and company requirements.

  • Conduct internal audits and track corrective actions.

  • Maintain documented information.

  • Support LPAs, corrective actions, and improvement activities.

What are we looking for?  

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.

  • 3+ years in QMS or Manufacturing Quality.

  • Knowlegde of APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and problem‑solving (8D, A3, DMAIC).

  • Strong communication skills; ability to lead cross‑functional teams and interact with customers.

Preferred:

  • Certification(s): Lead Auditor ISO 9001.

  • Experience in HVAC/chillers manufacturing or complex electro‑mechanical assemblies.

  • Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Audit findings closure time and QMS effectiveness measures.

  • Passing grade in customer audits.

  • % of completion of scheduled audits (LPA’s).

Key Interfaces:

  • Plant Manager, Production/Operations, Materials, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, Training.

  • Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Procurement.

  • Finance, NPI, Global Quality.

Work Environment & Travel:

On‑site at Mega Stiva plant in a fast‑paced environment with daily shop‑floor engagement; travels only under specific requirement needed.
