Insight Global is seeking a Remote Back End Java Developer to support a large aerospace and aviation client in the Hartford, CT area. The candidate will work within the digital product management organization and will provide hands on expertise in developing backend services to support digital products. For example, this includes customer portals, enterprise analytic systems and digital twin & thread environments. They will join a group that has both development and production teams. Day to day, the back end software developer must be proficient in Java programming/frameworks as they will be tasked with reviewing custom code, configurations, out of the box features and customizations for a high visibility and critical customer portals. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid agile environment and possess a strong ability to communicate technical plans to both technical team members and business stakeholders

-Expertise in IDEs for web development like Eclipse, Visual Studio or Jupyter

-Experience working with SQL or Oracle databases

-Exposure to Cloud Technologies such as Azure
-6+ years of experience as a backend software engineer with a primary focus on Java

-US CIT strongly preferred

-Experience in writing technical documents and communicating effectively with team members/product stakeholders

-Experience working in Agile software environments
