What will I be doing?

This position will be accountable for analytics for all areas of the business. The goal will be to deliver quality work in a timely fashion consistent with established standards. Work will consist dashboard development, framework maintenance and development.

The Business Intelligence group is a team of report developers operating in Tableau and Cognos environments. This group is in charge of report development and improvement, framework development, training, reporting governance, tuning, some aspects of data warehousing and Cognos and Tableau system administration. The position involves effective understanding of business needs combined with a knowledge of pertinent data to design reporting solutions that are significant and well thought out based on business requirements, standards and best practices.

Operations

• Assistance with prioritization of incoming business requests
• Respond to ad hoc report requests and issues from the enterprise
• Collaborate with partners regarding information needs
• Assistance with some aspects of Cognos Administration

Development

• Develop reporting solutions for all business areas based on business needs
• Develop dashboards within the IBM Cognos suite
• Create, enhance, and maintain Framework Manager Models
• Collaborate with business users and members of IT, including business analysts, database administrators, and managers, to design and develop Cognos reporting capability
• Exhibit a commitment to data quality by validating results against sources specified in the requirements
• Develop and maintain stored procedures
• Write and support queries against databases to be used for reporting and for validation/unit testing

Support

• Provide production support for Reporting issues during and outside of business hours as needed

Training

• Provide occasional training of Cognos software, environment, and configuration to other report writers and consumers

Other

• Other duties as needed, responsibilities subject to change
