Overview
Join the world’s leading statistical software company and make a
difference in the practice of statistics! SAS is expanding its
software for statistical process and quality control, and we are
looking for and expert statistical developer to accelerate this
exciting effort.
In this position, you will implement specialized methods in new and
existing SAS software. You will keep up with the forefront of
statistical methodology, identify appropriate statistical techniques
for implementation, and program these methods in C. You will also test
and document the software and present it to professional statistical
audiences.
Essential Qualifications:
* PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a
related field
* Strong background in statistical modeling
* Experience writing large, complex programs in C, C++, FORTRAN, or
a similar scientific programming language
Additional:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong background in statistical computing
Preferences:
* Experience developing commercial-quality software
* In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
reliability and survival data analysis, recurrent events data
analysis, multivariate process control, specialized methods for
fitting univariate distributions
