KARL STOTZ – US is currently recruiting for an SAP Basis Administrator. The primary responsibility will be to ensure a high degree of performance and availability of the company's ERP system SAP by: using best practices for architecture and design of ERP systems infrastructure, periodically reviewing and improving design standards to ensure current advances in technology are being used, as well improving redundancy and maximizing uptime of all ERP systems. This role will also provide SAP Security escalation support to ensure maximum uptime and security of SAP system accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the hybrid SAP system landscape (S/4 HANA, BW/4 HANA, Fiori, ERP / ECC, CRM, MDG, ME/MII, Solution Manager, Business Objects BI Platform, Business Technology Platform, Integration Suite, SAP Analytics Cloud)
  • Monitoring, analysis and optimization of the hybrid SAP system landscape
  • Implementation of release upgrades, EhP and support package updates
  • Setup and update of test systems through system copies
  • Ensure a high degree of availability, stability, performance and security of the SAP system landscape
  • Perform system analysis, and reporting of multiple SAP systems
  • Apply system analysis techniques when troubleshooting system outages and or service degradation situations.
  • Proactively conduct performance monitoring & tuning of the SAP system landscape
  • Maintain J2EE within the SAP environment – administration, update, patch and troubleshooting, escalations
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, Networking and system operations
  • Add, move change SAP user accounts, when appropriate or when in an escalation situation
  • Ensure SAP programs are transported with appropriate security and do not conflict with company SoD standards
  • Mentor, coach and provide technical leadership to supporting teams.
  • Completes special projects and priorities as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Software, or similar fields
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in SAP systems, preferably in a large fast-paced business
  • Proven SAP Basis Experience
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • High level of commitment and independent working style
  • Good comprehension / analytical skills

  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Resilience & ability to act even in pressure situations
  • Ability to travel approx. 10% of the year as needed, including internationally

Preferences:

  • 5 years' experience in SAP systems, preferably in a large fast-paced business
  • SAP trainings / certifications especially in the areas of SAP NetWeaver and SAP Cloud solutions.
  • Sound SAP Basis knowledge in SAP ERP
  • Good knowledge of the SAP HANA and SAP ASE databases
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in the SAP area
