Job Summary:
The Scrum Master I is responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood by their respective Development Team and Product Owner. The individual will work to affirm adherence to Scrum and Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) theory, principles, and rules. The Scrum Master I is a servant leader to their Development Team. This position will function as a coach to the team to help deliver on Sprint forecasts while continually inspecting and adapting through empirical process control.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work together with the Product Owner and their respective Development Team to plan and execute development iterations
Ensure their Development Team has appropriate product and technical definitions, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines and ensuring sprint forecasts can be met
Consistently demonstrate effective leadership within an Agile based environment
Ensure that their respective Development Team has enacted empirical product development practices
Facilitate and coach Scrum events including but not limited to: Daily Scrums, Product Backlog Refinements, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
Actively and effectively coach their respective Development Team in the application of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and LeSS framework
Actively coach their respective Development Team in self-organization, self-inspection, and cross-functionality
Help their respective Development Team remove impediments, both explicit and implicit.
Demonstrate a passion for creating a learning based organization
Work with Management to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum and LeSS in their Development Team

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
3-6 years of experience working in Software
3-6 years of experience working in a leadership role
3-6 years of experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products to market
Experience using Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence
A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager
Strong understanding of the Software development life cycle
Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile principles; CSM a must
Experience in the In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) industry

Soft Skills:
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Strong active leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills
Must be proactive, meticulous, organized, and detail oriented
Ability to effectively coach teams both technically and personally
Ability to effectively resolve problems
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks
Ability to work independently
Ability to use discretion and independent judgment when making decisions on behalf of the company
