About the Position:

Juniper Professional Services team is looking for a Senior Manager in our Automation team with extensive experience and passion in solving complex problems, virtualization solutions and automation technologies.

Responsibilities:

As an Automation Technical Delivery Manager (TDM), you will be a first line manager in GDO who owns and is accountable for all technical aspects of projects engaged. This role is expected to spend up to 50% of time to hire, train, motivate, and manage Consultants in the group and engage in project effort scoping, including SOW and technical resource assignments. The other 50% of time, this role is expected to be billable to customer projects and be accountable for success of all technical aspects of projects.

You will have the opportunity to lead and manage all levels of the delivery process from design to deep hands on work with automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, grow, train, motivate, manage, and be accountable for the performance of consultants
Oversee project scoping, including SOW and resource assignment
Understand project solution/architecture requirements
Secure required technical resources to successfully delivery projects
Ensure technical resource availability (including backup) during the entire project phases
Manage and be accountable for all technical aspects of project delivery
Interface with customers on technical aspects of the projects
Ensure Consultants have the required competence and tools for delivery
Manage the performance of Consultants
Career development path, training, motivation for Consultants
Training Consultants
Ensure required tools are in place to facilitate Consultants in delivery
Plan and hire consultants based on business needs
Develop and manage technical delivery performance metrics
Ensure repeatable and scalable processes are used/complied in deliveries
Achieve customer satisfaction goals of all assigned projects
Upskill technical knowledge to meet the demands of projects
Engage with the technical community through industry events, web forums, and publications to share knowledge and evangelize Juniper’s PS services and capabilities
Build a reputation among their peers in the technology, products, solutions, and services

Required Experience:

Built and managed a software team of at least ten customer-facing staff
Ability to lead, influence, and drive virtual teams to achieve common goals
Managed/delivered large scale solutions projects to Service Provider or Enterprise customers
Background and experience with software development life cycle
Experience with Microservices, Docker, Container, Python, PHP, Node.js
Experience with cloud architecture and framework like AWS, Azure or GCP
Experience of designing and implementing virtualized software and solutions is essential.
Ability to build executive-level partnerships and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, individual contributors and customers, from CxO organization at Customer side to individual contributor
Superior planning, organizational, influencing, negotiation, change management, and cultural awareness skills, including financial and global business acumen
Professional Services consulting and business consulting experience, including conflict management and hands-on delivery experience of technical projects
An excellent understanding of the industry, the customer’s business issues and solution architecture to meet their business goals
Ability to present at industry events, not ‘limited’ to Juniper technology; ability to compare our solutions with other industry options
Strong communication and listening skills to enable transformational change in a positive work environment internally while maintaining strong partnerships with the diverse customer base
Bachelors and/or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8-10 years of related experience
Travel up to 30% of the time is possible
